Deluzion is a metalband from Zutphen, The Netherlands. The band plays, writes and performs ‘Wrecking Metal’. A quartet of experienced musicians play melodic, riff oriented death / trash-metal. The vocals are brought through 2 violent throats. Frequently heard comparisons are made with bands like In Flames, Dimension Zero, Carcass, Lamb of God a.o.
Deluzion’s point of origin lies in the year 2003 with Hrödger, Jaap, Jeroen, Marloes and Wouter as its members. After recording the Mini CD ‘Fractured Dimension’ (2004) the melodic death/thrash metal was brought to the stage. During the shows they played the song ‘New Blood’ which was already becoming a classic since so many downloaded it from their futuristic site. "The song ‘New blood’ makes me think immediately of In Flames’ “Superhero of the computer rage”, nifty song!" (Vampire Magazine). In the summer of 2005 the band made a major switch when Jeroen, Marloes and Wouter retreated themselves from the Deluzion camp due lack of time.
Founding members Hrödger and Jaap persevered and were looking for new blood, which they found in Wouter, Tom (guitars) and Denniz (ex-Bodyrot - vocals). After a half year of wrecking stages with bands like God Dethroned, Devious, Genitorturers (USA) a.o. Tom decided to leave the band in june ‘06, the weekly traveling to the [deluzion] headquarters was too much.
Since being a metalquartet Deluzion is busy writing material for their debut album. A lot of gigs were done all over NL. The hard work and energetic performances lead to a support gig with Thrashmetalmasters Testament (USA) in Burgerweeshuis Deventer on august 23th 2007.
After a live recording session in January 2007 Deluzion released a Live EP ‘Alive & Wrecking in november 2007. Three brand new killer tracks will bring the live Deluzion force to your homes. Now available on myspace: a hidden bonus track!
Currently Deluzion is working for their debut album which will be recorded in the spring of 2008. The writing process is almost finished and the preproduction started in the fall of 2007. So stay tuned for some Wrecking Metal!
